Goldsmiths, University of London, in partnership with the Cambridge Coexist Programme, is presenting a series of round table dialogues on religion and belief for the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Government Equalities Office.
Goldsmiths’ Religious Literacy Leadership Programme (RLLP) is facilitating dialogues, preceded by an in-depth assessment of the EHRC’s policies and practices around the subject of religion, to continue its work in pioneering religious literacy.
Four dialogues will lead to reports and podcasts, which will engage with a wider public audience providing evidenced, informed engagement with religion and belief, raising the level of debate and strengthening approaches to resolution of conflict. Subjects in the dialogues include:
- The Real Landscape of Religion and Belief in the Public Sphere
- Religious and the Media
- Balancing Competing Interests
- Plurality, Islam and Christian Marginalisation
Please note that participation in the dialogues themselves is by invitation only and spaces are limited. Reflective reports will capture the key themes and issues arising in each dialogue and will be available online.
