Monday 1st July marked a special day as the BBC launched its second talent search, in partnership with Coexist, to find a new voice for its popular “Pause for Thought” programme. Pause for Thought is a religious reflection on life which is heard by over a million listeners as part of the Vanessa Feltz Show on the UK’s most popular Radio Channel, Radio Two. Promos for the “talent search” have been aired across the networks’ programming, which reaches an audience of over 16 million people and more worldwide through the internet.

Last years winner Kiera Phyo was part of the launch and the final of the competition will be held, as last year, at the Times Cheltenham Literary Festival in October. The winner will be on Vanessa’s programme the next morning and will subsequently become part of the regular Pause for Thought team.
